This is pretty much a straight port right from the old SNES version with a few additions. But that's not a bad thing at all. This is pretty much the average platform jump-and-squish-the enemy kinda game. But Nintendo just put that Mario touch, and a crapload of extras to make it worth playing more than most any other platformer. The graphics are great, with multiple scrolling backgrounds (which was a big deal back in the SNES days) and a HUGE world. The levels are ingeniousley designed, with thing perfectly placed. There are 96 levels in all, with tons of secret exits to levels and a secret star world for hardcore gamer. The sound is just good old Mario music which gives the game a fun, cheery feeling. The controls are simple and easy to handle, even with all the different things you can do in the game, like swimming, flying, and even dive bombing enemies. Luigi is also now different than Mario, with his high jumping ability from Super Mario Advance in hand. Regardless of you having played this game before, this is a must buy for GBA owners.

Graphics
-9 The graphics are bright and cheerful with lots of enemies on screen at once.

Sound-
9 The sound is just good old Mario music that gives the game a cheerful feeling and fun feel.

Controls-
9.5 There are tons of actions in the game and they are very easy to pull off. My only gripe is that you may forget how to do those actions.

Replay-
9.5 There are 96 levels of platforming actions, a bunch with secret exits. Mario Bros. classic again is also included.

Overall-
9.5 The game is excellent, just as much as it was when it was released on SNES. The game has excellent replay value and it is still one of the best platformers ever
