Batman Vengeance is an example of a rare type of game. Its a game with a kick-ass license going for it that it actually takes advantage of it. BV is an action game that is spread of 19 levels of diverse terrain. Most of the time you play as Batman on foot, wandering throughout the large, detailed levels beating up villians. Other times, you fly about the sky in your Batplane and on the streets of Gotham in your Batmobile. Overall, the levels of flying and driving are ultimately less enjoyable and not as intuitive as the normal levels. The 19 levels are spread across episodes that each involve a different nemesis causing trouble for Batman. The levels themselves are diverse and are represented superbly in comparison to the TV show. Also, the music here is straight from the series as is the voice acting. The audio and graphical presentation of this game are probably the best aspects overall. The gameplay is compromised of a very functional battle system that also allows you to use many of Batmans gadgets. While it doesnt have the most original gameplay, it certainly works for what it is. If you are in the mood for action and like batman, this game is a good purchase. Be warned that it is rather short and linear so some people will not be as satisfied as others.

Graphics-  8.5  It runs at 60 FPS and is clean, detailed and is a great
representation of the TV show its modeled after.

Sound- 9  The strongest portion of the game because of great voice acting and superb music that also is straight from the TV show.

Control- 7.0  The control is tight and responsive, but sometimes becomes cluttered with too many functions. Also, the tutorial is lackluster.

Replay-  6.0  The game is moderate length and is entirely linear. There is basically no reason to go back after completion.

Overall-  7.8  I enjoyed this game as a rental and it certainly is a great
representation of the show. Definitely give it a rental and then decide if
its worth a purchase.
