Triple Play 2002 is yet another game in the Triple Play franchise for the PS2.  The game is pretty fun once you start knowing how to play the game on Pro.  On Rookie difficulty, the game is just way too easy and is practically a homerun hit every time you come up to the plate.  So I recommend you start playing it on Pro, yeah, it'll seem hard at first but it starts to become fun.  It doesn't have a Franchise mode yet, but you should understand why, there are 132 games or something like that in one Season.  There's a Create-a-Player mode also.  It isn't as good as one such as Madden 2002's Create-a-Player.  You don't have a limit to how many of the stupid points you can put on your character, so, if you want, you can make a totally dominant player which I kind of like.  Though it doesn't have anything to where the more points you add on your player, the more money he costs.  The multiplayer I think is something that they could have worked on some more to make it a bit more enjoyable.  Okay, there's this thing, the pitching chart or whatever you want to call it.  It shows where your pitching, unless you press a certain button that makes it dissapear.  Okay, so you make the ball dissapear so you can annoy your opponent, but then you don't know where the hell you're pitching.  So then you let it re-appear, you have to throw it somewhere near outside but enough inside so it wouldn't be a ball.  Your opponent knows where it is, he hits it, and whaddya know, he hits a homerun.  The multiplayer for me was like this through most of the thing, and you practically win in it by shere luck.  The game is the best when you're in a close game, the crowd starts to get wilder, there are some cool little cinematic thingys I guess you could say in between plays, and it feels like you were really in the game if you have a score of lets say 7-5.  Other than the multiplayer, this game is one to keep an eye on if your a good baseball fan.  If you really aren't into baseball that much but kinda know how it works, this is a rent for you.

Graphics-
7.0  The graphics are okay in this game.  There are at times some sloppy animations though.

Sound-
8.0  The sound is pretty good in this game, it's practically just like it is in all other sports games.  Hear the crowd starting to get excited when the game is close, hear the ball as it hits the baseball bat, the usual stuff.

Control-
8.0  The control is just like it is in all baseball games.  Therefore, it's pretty good.  You do find yourself getting mixed up trying to throw the ball at first, second, third, or home base to get an out at times when you're just a begginer though.

Replay-
6.5  This is where they need a Franchise mode, play as the Mariners, go to the World Series, face the Yankees.  Go to the World Series as a different team, and you're in for a good chance to face the Yankees again.

Overall-
6.5  The game is fun at first, but maybe gets kinda old after a couple of weeks.  This is a good baseball game though, maybe if I were a baseball freak then I'd give this game a higher score.
