Jet Grind Radio Future is the sequel to the highly anticipated, yet largely  unnoticed,Jet Grind Radio. I am a huge fan of the last one, which captured me  with its cool cel-shaded look, hip music, novel concept, and solid gameplay
that only Sega could put together this well. And this game carries on the
torch with some nice improvements that streamline an already rock solid
game. The story is pretty much removed from the last game, since the game is
more of a side story than an actual sequel. You play the role of a Tokyo
street gang that skates around the city painting their cool graffiti and
sticking it to the man. The actual act of spary painting has been simplified
from the prequels finger cramping analog stick moves to a more sensibile
single button press for each section of graffiti(there are varying numbers
of sections depending on size.) The excellently done cel shading gives the
gamer an eerie feeling of playing a cartoon and really gives the game a
unique look. But past the sugar coated visuals is a decent game that
deserves recognition. It's a blast to collect all the characters, paint up
the fuzz, and battle rival gangs while marveling at the huge levels. But the
huge levels lose some of their charm later on into the game when you find it
necessary to keep stopping and checking the level map and trying fifty
billion times to get that one spot at the top of a sky scraper and end up
feeling sorta gyped when you finally do. But you won't mind so much due to
the great soundtrack, these tracks really add to the overall fun that you get
overall since they set the mood so well. When all these factors are combined
then you get a great, but slighty flawed, game that will wisk you away to a
super cool, bad ass, graffiti covered world of fun.

Graphics- 9.5 This games cel shaded visuals really add to the games feel and
style, which are the best parts of the game

Sound- 9.0 The games music contributes to the hip-ness of what you're
doing, although the sound effects get repetitive after a while.

Control- 8.5 The control's good but sometimes it gets a tad bit clunky in
tight situations.

Replay- 5.0 The game's really made to only be played once, although it's good enought that you may want to play it through a few months after you beat it.

Overall- 9.0 The game as a whole is great but the overly ambitious level
design hampers the game towards the end.
