The best basketball game just got better. NBA 2K2 offers so many options
and so much fun its hard to give the other bball games a chance. While the
basic controls have no changed from the first version, the A.I. is now
godlike and the game feels so right. You need real basketball knowledge and
strategy to be victorious. Its not some jamfest or 3point shootout, its run
and gun, work grind basketball. Control is simple and intuitive. Its deep
because you can assign plays and everything is customizable. The graphics,
while not spectacular, look pretty good and run as smooth as silk. Character
faces do look ridiculous sometimes and Courtside was a much superior game
visually. The announcers in the game do a very good job not getting
annoying, and for the most part, saying the right thing. The game is also
stacked with modes top to bottom. Franchise mode is great, along with street
mode, arcade, exhibition, fantasy, and fully customizable teams and players.
There is so much here, and so much fun, I am going to call this the greatest
basketball game ever made. Buy it, please go buy this game.

Graphics:  8.0  Solid. Very solid. Smooth and convincing. Player faces and
minor breakup problems bring down the score.
Sound:    9.0   Good basketball sounds. Its even got that shitty Lakers
announcer! Good commentary that does repeat often.
Control:    10.0   Yep, its DAMN GOOD. Easy to learn, easy to master, but it
plays so well and makes you feel like you're a baller!
Replay:    9.5     Its got every mode known to man in the form of
basketball. More options, more players and more fun. INSANE.
Overall:    9.4     This is the best basketball game ever. Buy it.
