As you have seen (or haven't), Dance Dance Revolution (DDR), hasn't swept
the country like it has Japan, but it has had some pretty good success in
the States. But due to lack of interest in the arcade scene in general, it
looks as if DDR has to live as a con-sole survivor (sorry for the crappy
pun) on this side of the Pacific , since Konami has recently shut it's doors
on American arcades. And if the series lives on like this, fans are going to
be pleased. If you enjoy music games, don't read the rest of this review and
go buy this now (with a dance pad). It doesn't get much better than
"dancing" the night away, and with over 50 songs to choose from, you won't
get bored anytime soon. Sadly, some of the greatest DDR artists, like
E-Rotic and Smile.dk, are missing, but this only leaves improvement for the
next game, DDRMAX. Although not the game "manly-men" will salivate over, it
is a hell of a lot of fun. For those who have never played any DDR game,
time to get dancing! Oh, and if your overweight (like myself), check out the
Workout mode!!!

Graphics - 6. For a PS1 game, this game's background characters are pretty,
well, pretty. While the overall graphics aren't something to cream your
pants over with games like ICO out there, it looks great overall for the
places it could put graphics.

Sound - 9. It's a music game, so obviously the sound has to be great. And if
it wasn't, there would be no reason to check out his game.

Controls - 9. Considering all you have to do is put your feet on some
arrows, I don't think they could have done the controls any better.

Replay - 8. This is where the game gets going. I personally spent days
trying to unlock the 20+ hidden songs.

Overall - 8.8. A very fun game which provides many values. 1) Helps you lose
weight to get the ladies. 2) The game is something chicks dig. 3) Wait, let
me think of something that doesn't involve girls...oh! It's extremly fun,
has many modes, has enough replay to keep you busy for weeks, and will get
you money if you enter tournaments over in Japan if you get good enough!
