Medal of Honor: Frontline not only marks the third addition to the MoH series, it also marks EAs first FPS foray onto the Playstation 2. Heralded by many as some of the greatest war FPS games ever created, MoH: Frontline manages to live up to the expectations set by it's predecessors with good graphics, gameplay and topnotch sound that includes excellent music and incredible sound effects. With the combat, which is undoubtedly the most important aspect of FPSs, EA has accomplished some intense battles that literally had me ducking in front of my TV screen. One of my favorites is the first level, which faithfully recreates the D-Day landing on Omaha Beach. Besides that, however, missions prove to be fun and varied, with locations ranging from German U-boats and fortresses, to pretty mansions and quiet villages. Unfortunately, with these hectic battles comes a bit of a downside. I love frantic fights, but being able to target enemies effectively is a must. And although the control is not terrible by any means, some of the later levels require aiming to be second-nature, and even then shooting a foe in the direction of a vital organ doesn't insure death. At one point, I pulled off two head shots, and looked in disbelief as the German soldier still hobbled towards me. Sure, the game isn't entirely realistic, but I don't remember ever reading about Super-Nazis in history class. Secondly, a multiplayer mode should have been included, simply because
its practically a necessity for FPS games today, and also because it would lengthen the value. However, even with its few shortcomings, MoH: Frontline proves to be one hell of a ride that is indeed well-worth taking.  For FPS fans, a purchase is a no brainer, but all PS2 owners should consider taking this great game out for a spin.

Graphics- 9.0 The environments and people (although not up to Metal Gear Solid 2s
standards) are very pretty, resembling W.W.II characteristics with ease.

Sound- 9.5 The sound effects are terrific, putting you right in the action. Similarly, the
soundtrack is topnotch, setting the mood perfectly.

Control- 8.0 Good, but an auto-lock would have helped greatly simply because aiming seems a bit on the touchy side.

Replay- 7.5 Suffers from a lack of multiplayer, but some cool extras help make it up a bit.

Overall-9.1 A great game that's problems aren't enough to bring down the entire
package.
